Keith Yandle's NHL journey has taken him to three different home cities and now 1,000 career games. The veteran defenseman was honored by the Florida Panthers for reaching this milestone before their game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday, March 13. Yandle, who spent nine seasons with the Arizona Coyotes and two with the New York Rangers, is now in his fifth with the Panthers.
Yandle is also extending the third-longest ironman streak in NHL history. The win on February 25th at Nashville was his 889th consecutive NHL game, which trails only Doug Jarvis (964) and Garry Unger (914). The ironman streak began March 26, 2009, a little less than 2 and a half years after Yandle made his NHL debut for the Coyotes against the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 11, 2006.
